Restaking

Restaking assets provide the economic security as we open the participation to more end users.

Anyone participating and contributing to OpenLayer will stand behind their restaked assets and vouch for the correct execution for authentic data. This allows OpenLayer to operate on affordable security and be more cost effective.

On slashing logic, OpenLayer stands out from most other Oracle services that we do provide objectively-enough attributable fault. This means

  • Trust assumptions are minimized and under most non-extreme circumstances, executions are cryptographically verifiable

  • Under no circumstances (even the extreme one mentioned above) will an honest operator be slashed. This relieves operators from their biggest concern over operating for an AVS

We will talk about more details on how we achieve this in later sections
